2 way solenoid valve

2-way solenoid valve is a type of special valve. It regulates the movement of liquids or gases in a system. The reason why it is referred to as "2-way" is because there are two ports — one for inlet (to let liquid or gas pass through) and one for outlet (where liquid or gas comes out). Usually, the Solenoid valve is closed. Sending electricity to a coil inside the valve generates a magnetic field. This magnetic field pulls a part called a plunger or a disc away from its seat; this action opens the valve so the liquid or gas can flow.

How a 2-Way Solenoid Valve Controls Flow and Direction

When the power is cut, the magnetic field disappears. When it does, the plunger, or disc, returns to its original position, and the valve closes. In this way, the 2-way solenoid valve can regulate the passage by opening and close the openings. High pressure solenoid valve can also reverse the flow with a plunger or by moving the disc.
